Italy-20, originally uploaded by Abhishek's Received Postcards.

Aquileia is an ancient Roman city in what is now Italy, at the head of the Adriatic at the edge of the lagoons, about 10 km from the sea, on the river Natiso (modern Natisone), the course of which has changed somewhat since Roman times.

Thanks for sharing this info. Aquileia is a small and quite insignificant town. In Aquileia not sightseeing place but its a archaeological site and has a UNESCO World Heritage status.Grado is a nice place for spend night. For history lover there are many places to see two museums, the famous mosaic and the outdoors sites in the basilica. Grado is also nice place their resort is also very nice.
