Saint George Fountain, Trier, Germany

The Saint George Fountain is a fountain in the district of Mitte / Gartenfeld of Trier. He is considered one of the most beautiful rococo fountain Germany.
It is located on the grain market in the Old Town. The Saint George Wells was in the years 1750 to 1751 according to plans by the court Johannes Seiz, the builder of the Electoral Palace, in honor of the sovereign elector Franz Georg von Schönborn with depictions of the seasons and the St. George was built. He was like the Peter Fountain on the main market to the 19th century by the Holy Daufborn today when Mr. Chen announced Brno fed. The tip of the fountain stands approximately eleven meters in height.
